question 3 part 3

The reason i chose the productions companies for my film to be involved with is because they know how to appeal to there target audience which is 15 to 30 year olds. The reason they have chosen this age group like i have is because you can create a movie that can really feed on the fears of your audience making it scarier than if your target audience was from 12 to 15 year olds. The benefits of having my film involved with these companies are a wide target audience and fan base, large viewings, mass amount of advertising and a large amount of screenings at many cinemas. My film is similar but also slightly different to films that the companies i have chosen have made for example ghost castle pictures made paranormal activity and the lighting, setting and costumes are the same yet the camera work is different as they have it so its hand held cameras and cameras on tripods yet my camera work is a use of different shots and hand held but not as if one of the characters were holding the camera. The companies i have chosen have a good repartition for making horror films that feed on the fears of the audience members. The reason this is good is because it means people will recommend those films and when they see that those companies have helped in my film people will want to see it as they will expect my film to be just as good. My film is main stream and this would not effect the companies i'm working with as the movies they make are also main stream.
